TNC and Mental Health

Today’s student-athletes face a variety of undue pressures to perform on a consistent basis on and off of the basketball court.

We at TNC believe it is important that athletes learn how to use basketball and their minds to help them overcome high-intensity situations and dilemmas, along with mental health obstacles and challenges.

As Covid-19 has altered our way of living, it has also created even more mental health challenges for our youth.

"The wave of stress, the mental strain, the disorientation and disassociation that so many of our children are feeling today — they're going to need help, and not just from their parents and their loved ones, they're going to need help from us all."–Xavier Becerra, United States Secretary of Health and Human Services

With that said, our mission is to help basketball players navigate their careers both on and off of the basketball court by creating a fun, competitive, and growth-oriented environment for player development.

Our events and services emphasize leadership education, confidence building, mindfulness and visualization, brand awareness/development, mentorship, skill development, and growth as a team player and person.

For the many student-athletes who feel alone in their thoughts, we remind you that your thoughts are not alone, your Thoughts just Need some Company.
